Conductor
Terminal-first, lightweight, built for tools like Claude Code. Grid view for up to 9 simultaneous agents, full mobile control, session persistence across crashes, and a plugin system that pipes straight into your agent's window.
I built a TDE: Terminal Development Environment. Say hello to Conductor - an AI-first development environment that bridges the gap between CLI and IDE.
I was using Cursor and VS Code daily, but when my workflow shifted almost entirely to terminal and AI tools like Claude Code, they became too heavy - too much IDE, not enough terminal. So I switched to pure terminal. That was too light. I kept losing context, losing sessions, losing my place across projects. Nothing existed in between, so I built Conductor.
Grid view runs up to 9 terminals side by side, agents working simultaneously. The mobile interface gives you full control from your phone - switch between sessions, spin up new ones, manage your agents like you're texting them. Session persistence means crash, close, or reboot and everything reloads exactly where you left it. The plugin system ships with 3 plugins at launch: todos and notes piped straight into your agent's window, skill management, and MCP integration.
There's also multi-screen support, broadcast mode across sessions, a built-in file tree and text editor, session templates for teams, serve mode via Tailscale for remote access or self-hosting on a VPS, notification and approval workflows for agent actions, diff view, keyboard shortcuts throughout, and colour-coded status tabs so you see everything at a glance.
