I'm Mike Nash - a software engineer and technical leader with 10+ years building production systems across startups, scale-ups, and enterprise. I help founders and engineering teams ship better software, faster.
The Background
Eleven years in software. Started as a graduate developer writing C# and .NET for enterprise clients, worked my way up through architecture and technical leadership. I've seen enough fires to know which ones matter.
I've led work I'm actually proud of - a platform migration for one of Australia's largest property companies (Dexus, ASX-listed), a state-wide government platform serving millions of citizens, and a technical turnaround that took a division from -630% to +36% profitability in six months.

Pragmatism over Purity
I don't rebuild systems just to use the latest framework. Technology is a tool to solve business problems. Every architectural decision is weighed against time-to-market, maintainability, and whether it actually pays off.
Direct Communication
No fluff, no endless discovery phases. I can tell a founder what their architecture decision actually costs them, and tell a developer why the business decision makes sense. Most people can't do both.
Hands-on Leadership
I lead by example. I've presented strategy to boards in the morning and been back reviewing PRs in the afternoon. Comfortable at both ends, and I don't pretend otherwise.
Velocity with Quality
Speed shouldn't compromise stability. I implement robust CI/CD, testing strategies, and observability to ensure I can ship fast without breaking things.

Sole technical leader for an early-stage SaaS startup. Defined the technical vision and architecture from scratch - .NET 9 monorepo with Domain-Driven Design, vertical slices deploying as serverless Lambdas on AWS, MongoDB for data flexibility, React/Next.js frontend. Designed and integrated AI capabilities into the core product - intelligent assistant, AI-driven workflow automation, and context-aware suggestions. Built the MVP end-to-end. Established engineering culture: CI/CD with GitHub Actions, infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, feature flags, comprehensive observability with OpenTelemetry. Defined the product roadmap through product-market fit. Took the company from zero to a working product and pre-seed funding.
