Continue or rebuild review

Continue, fix first, or rebuild.A written answer, with the evidence behind it.

You have software that works, mostly, and a decision to make: keep building on it, fix it first, or start again. The wrong choice costs more than the review. I read the code, run the application and its tests, and give you a clear answer in writing, with every finding backed by evidence.

Price

Same three tiers, same fixed fee.

From £3,500

  • Clarity Audit: From £3,500, 5 business days
  • Production Audit: From £6,500, 7–8 business days
  • Regulated & Investor-Ready: From £9,500, 10–12 business days
Compare the three tiers

What sets the tier and the fee: how much there is to review, how many moving parts it has, what is at stake if it fails, and what access and documentation exist. A scoping call settles it before you commit. All prices exclude VAT. One fixed fee, agreed in writing before you commit: 50% on engagement, 50% on delivery. Review and remediation are quoted separately.

Who it is for

Signs you need this answer.

This is for you if

  • Every change seems to break something else.
  • Estimates keep growing and nobody can say exactly why.
  • The original developers have left, or you are about to change supplier.
  • You are about to spend more on it and want to know it is worth it.
  • Someone has told you it needs a rebuild and you want an independent view.

This is not for you if

  • You have already decided and want a report to back the decision. The answer might not be the one you expected.
  • You need the wider picture of a company for a deal. That is technical due diligence.

What is covered

What the three answers mean.

The report gives one of three answers, and says why.

Continue

The foundation is sound. You get the findings to deal with as you go, sorted into material risk, fine for now, and preference.

Fix first

It can carry what you need, but specific material risks should be fixed before you build further, launch or raise. You get them ranked by severity, with evidence and a recommended fix.

Rebuild

It cannot safely carry what you need. You get the evidence and an outline of what to keep and what to replace.

Early stop

If the answer is clearly rebuild part way through, you choose: stop with a short written verdict, or re-scope the remaining days to the rebuild question at the same fee.

FAQ

Common questions before booking.

What if the answer is rebuild?

If it becomes clear part way through that the answer is rebuild, you choose. I can stop and give you a short written verdict with the evidence and an outline of what to keep and what to replace; the 50% paid on engagement covers the work to that point and there is no further fee. Or we re-scope the remaining days to the rebuild question, such as the approach and what to salvage, at the same fee.

What if you find nothing serious?

Then you get a clean written verdict saying so, with the evidence behind it. The fee covers the review, not a number of findings.

What do I get, what do you need from me and how does it run?

The same as any other review: a Confidence Report with a verdict, a one-page summary and every finding with its evidence. I need read-only access, nothing is changed, and I do the work myself. Access, process, fees and confidentiality are set out on the main review page.

Make the decision on evidence.

Tell me what the software does, who built it and what is going wrong. I will tell you whether a review fits and which tier.
