Your choice
Optional cookies are off by default. Nothing optional is set until you press Accept on the cookie banner, and declining is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind at any time.
This clears your saved choice and shows the cookie banner again.
What this site uses
Strictly necessary
The site stores your cookie choice in your browser's local storage (under the name nss-analytics-consent) so it does not keep asking. This is needed to respect your choice and is not used to track you.
Cookieless analytics
Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights measure page views and page speed. They are designed to work without cookies and run whatever you choose here.
Analytics cookies (only if you accept)
Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use the site, as sessions and heatmaps, so I can find confusing pages. It only loads after you accept. These are the cookies Microsoft documents for it:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity (set on this site) | Keeps a random visitor ID so repeat visits can be grouped. | Up to 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity (set on this site) | Links the page views within one visit into a single recorded session. | Up to 1 day |
| MUID | Microsoft (third party) | Identifies unique web browsers visiting Microsoft sites, used for analytics and operational purposes. | Set by Microsoft |
| CLID | Microsoft Clarity (third party) | Identifies the first time Clarity saw this browser on any site that uses Clarity. | Set by Microsoft |
| MR, SM, ANONCHK | Microsoft (third party) | Refresh and synchronise the MUID across Microsoft domains. Clarity does not use the advertising identifier that ANONCHK refers to. | Set by Microsoft |
The first two are set on this site. The others are set by Microsoft on its own domains (such as clarity.ms and bing.com) and may change; Microsoft describes them in its Clarity cookie documentation. If you decline or withdraw consent, the site stops Clarity and removes the cookies it set on this site. It cannot remove cookies that Microsoft set on its own domains, so to clear those use your browser settings.

How personal data is used more generally is explained in the privacy notice. You can also clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.
